You know that saying: "You plan. God laughs." Well, I guess God must be having a good chuckle at my expense because I had lots planned for this coming fall. I even had an entirely different blog post planed for this hop. My plans included a cover reveal this week for my upcoming romantic suspense, THE DEVIL'S BEDPOST, and a release of a holiday treat this coming season. Those were my "labors of love" that kept me busy this summer. However, on Monday night, August 31st, I received news that would throw a big, fat monkey wrench into my plans. The publisher of 4 of my books will be closing. What does this all mean? It's August--the last month to a very eventful, trying, unpredictable, and yes, HOT summer. I don't know what to say besides  man, does time fly! (Whether you're having fun or not.) Though, I would have loved for the initial publishing schedule for my new series to have been met, I would much rather have them come out later in the utmost quality then fast with mediocre results. In happier news, books 1 and 2 of the Queen Quartette are now available! And book 3 is coming real soon with book 4 to follow immediately after. I can't believe how fast the summer flew! It's already August and thankfully the weather has been very bearable so far--both in NY and Florida, which I just got back from. Before then, I was in Atlanta at the RWA National conference, which was very inspiring, motivating, and informative, as always. I learned a lot, met plenty of great people, and took back a suitcase filled with books (seriously, it weighed 45lbs when I checked it in at the airport!). But I also brought back many insights and blogged about them at Savvy Authors, where I guest posted on my take on the Author Survival Guide: 10 Things All Authors Should Know . As we enter the last month of summer, I'm excited to be wrapping up edits on my debut novel, BECAUSE THIS IS FOREVER! Today is the start of a promising summer! I have lots planned and I'm excited for what's in store for this month. I'll be participating in a more blog hops with some great giveaways, guest blogging, completing the third and final story to the Because... series (more to come on that!), and also releasing my second sinful short story, which promises to be hot!
